Some Martial Arts

Been thinking of starting martial arts for a long time and might actually get the chance to soon. So I've been looking at two different kinds offered. This is a summary of my understanding of the findings.

Tukido

A modern version of martial arts with many 'useless' moves done away with. Easier to learn than many other forms because tries to use natural and efficient movements.

Muay Thai

Widely uses four parts of the body: hands, shins, knees, elbows. Done with boxing-type gloves and ring. It's the national sport of Thailand. The Thai military uses a form of Muay Thai.

Male Lactation?

Contrary to what I had thought, men can produce milk although it is a lot less than female production. Don't believe me?

Sarah and Abraham from Genesis were wealthy. Sarah may have worn a headdress similar to this one (I saw one in the Brittish Museum! ):

A Library

I've created this blog as a bit of an online library of random facts. The reason for it is this: every once and a while I find myself looking up random facts such as what "Amyraldism" means. ("Amyraldism" is a term for four-point Calvinism, Calvinism that drops the point of Limited Atonement.) When I look up the information I some times do a lot of digging, find the fact I wanted, and then go on my way. But I've thought it would be neat to compile the information onto a Web site, as much for my own enjoyment as for my friends'. I then realized that it would most likely be a long time until I actually got around to creating a Web site for that purpose so I decided to at least start my database with a blog. I hope that you all enjoy learning the random things that I will post as much as I do, only, without the labor involved. Feel free to contribute thoughts, facts, ideas, etc. through the comments. Also, you can let me know whether or not you knew my random fact!

Fact to start it all off: (courtesy of Matthew)

Elephants can communicate over long distances at a very low frequency that is outside of our range of hearing. It rumbles along the ground and can be felt by the elephants' sensitive feet. (Sound can travel farther through ground than it can through the air.) So, don't give an elephant shoes!
